2008 Leagues Wrap-up

With the 2008 season coming to a close, the Burlington Soccer League wishes to congratulate League Winners
on there successful seasons!
In the Women's 1st Division, the Rebels repeat
their winning ways, taking first by edging out Thunder by a single point.
While in the 2nd Division, the Bombers take the title in
their inaugural season.
Things were extremely tight at the top of the Over-34 Divisions. Both Divisions needed to be settled on Goal Difference. Division 1 was won by Vipers I, although Wisla
was equal on points. In the 2nd Division, Coachman Sr. and
Orangemen tied on points but Coachman Sr. having the superior Goal Difference.
In Over-41 Division play, the Colts complete a dominant
season. Not only a perfect 18-0-0, but just 2 goals shy of 100 (5.4 goals per match).
In Open Age Divisons, the Rovers return to their winning ways by taking the Premier. The Rovers conceded a stingy 10 goals the entire season (0.56 goals per match). The 1st Division was not decided until the final Matchday with Albion Athletic finishing with a 1-point advantage over the Bohemians.
