WELCOME MESSAGE FROM BSL PRESIDENT CHRIS ROSZELL
May 4, 2010
Hello fellow soccer enthusiasts, and welcome to the 2010 BSL outdoor season!
2010 is shaping up to be a big year for the BSL:
- This winter, we successfully introduced an indoor division at Sherwood Forest to
our league
- This summer will be our second season offering a co-ed division
- We continue to experience rapid growth in our women's divisions
2010 also marks the introduction of the BSL's new operational structure, approved at
our 2010 AGM. We look forward to working with our third-party vendor, LSGM to make
2010 the best season yet!
In another change for 2010, our President for the past 2 seasons, Michael Crampton,
has chosen to step down from his role. I would like to personally thank Michael for
his contributions over the past 2 years, and for his continuing support as the VP of
the Open Age divisions.
Even though Michael leaves significant shoes to fill, I am honoured to have been
elected as the BSL President for 2010. As a member of the BSL for the past 8 seasons
and as the VP, Open Age for the previous 2, I have watched this league continue to
grow and am excited for the opportunity to lead it into this new era.
The newly formed Executive Committee is looking forward to being able to focus on
the broader, long-term issues facing our league in order to ensure its continued
success. To that end, we hope to provide updates throughout the year on our
progress.
Please feel free to contact myself, or any member of the
Executive/Operating Committees
if you have any questions or concerns, and best of luck to all teams in 2010!
Sincerely,
Chris Roszell
